Associate Professor Yamashita participated in the "4th Korea-Japan Skyrmion Workshop in Kyushu," held at Kyushu University, serving as a session chair.
The workshop was highly intensive, featuring 12 oral presentations and 8 poster sessions over the course of two days. The research topics spanned a wide range—from the fundamental physics of spins and skyrmions to computational applications—with numerous proposals for innovative spin-based computing devices.
Throughout the day and night, participants engaged in passionate discussions, significantly strengthening the research network between Japan and Korea. During the lab tour held after the workshop, we had the opportunity to introduce our laboratory to the attendees, which has already led to the initiation of several new collaborative research projects.
